The name One More Saturday was inspired by the Shins' Australia, in which frontman James Mercer sings, "Born to multiply, born to gaze into night skies when all you want's one more Saturday." Among many other things, the song is about living your life to the best of your ability, now and today. The song also encourages appreciating what you've got, and the phrase "one more Saturday" comes to represent the good in life, wanting more of it, and knowing if you want it you've got to create it yourself. Here on One More Saturday, we strive to appreciate the good that is already there and create that which isn't. A life spent waiting for the weekend is much less exciting than a life in which one creates one's own weekend, so to speaka life in which one extends the joy and openness of a Saturday to all other days of the week. Of course, that is not to say that every day is equally beautiful and relaxing and exhilarating. And rather than resenting those days that are bleak or tiresome, we strive to remember that we've still got (at least) one more Saturday.
